Hill enjoys visit to the fullest
Brandon Hill was one of Mississippi State's first commitments for the class of 2010.
And even though the West Lowndes (Miss.) standout has been a staple in Starkville over the past year, this weekend opened his eyes to even more that the school had to offer on his official visit.
"Everything was excellent," Hill said. "I enjoyed the visit to the fullest. I got to see parts of the school that I wasn't really conscious of. I got an understanding of what curriculums they offered and what majors and things of that nature that I could look forward to selecting."
Even though Hill's cousin Tobias Smith is already on the Bulldogs roster, he was hosted this weekend by tight end Kenderick Cook.
The 6-foot-2, 208-pounder had the opportunity to visit head coach Dan Mullen's home for dinner Friday night and hang out with his future teammates.
"We went over to Coach Mullen's house and it was amazing," Hill said. "I got a chance to start talking some noise to some of my teammates. It was just a lot of fun. I got a chance to hang out with the family. They accepted me with open arms and I felt welcomed."
