3 star DE talks visit shake up
Cleveland (OH.) John Adams defensive end Micah Robinson is finishing up his official visits and looking to make a decision soon. Last weekend he took a trip to Akron and there has been a shake up with his next visit.
Robinson, 6-foot-3, 230 pounds came back from his visit with Akron with nothing but positive thoughts about the Zips.
"It was pretty good I enjoyed it. My favorite part of the Akron trip was meeting all of the players and looking at the new stadium."
After that visit what exactly are his thoughts about the Akron program?
"My thoughts are that I can see myself being a part of the Zip family."
Up next for Robinson was supposed to be a visit to Syracuse, but that has changed.
"My Syracuse trip is going to be next weekend. I have a test to take this weekend."
On his visit to Syracuse he will not be able to meet with Stan Drayton who had been recruiting him before he left Syracuse for Florida earlier this month. When considering schools at the end of the process this might play a role in his decision.
"That could play a small role, but nothing major."
Instead of seeing Drayton on his trip the focus will turn to the Orange new defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh. Robinson and Brumbaugh met in the early part of the week.
"I met him he came to my house Tuesday. It was real nice he met my mom and stuff," Robinson said. "I feel that he can make me a better player."
What exactly does this mean for Pittsburgh who was supposed to be getting the visit next weekend?
"I have to reschedule it, but I do not know if I can. I will talk to them."
As far as a decision goes Robinson is looking to make his mind up before signing day.
"I would like to decide right before signing day," Robinson stated.
