Lewis feels the love on official visit

Tylertown (Miss.) three-star athlete Jameon Lewis got to survey his future surroundings when he took his official visit to Mississippi State.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder committed to the Bulldogs while at camp back in June and has had admiration for the program ever since. That trend continued this past weekend in Starkville.

"Everything went well," Lewis said. "I already knew how the love was. We went to the (basketball) game and toured around the campus everything that had to do with football. It was real nice."

Lewis told BulldogBlitz last week that he was looking forward to going to Dan Mullen's home for dinner on Friday.

"We went to dinner over there the first night and ate steaks," Lewis said. "A bunch of other football players were there like Charles Mitchell and Johnthan Banks. They were upstairs playing pool and watching TV. We were having a nice time and it was real cool."

While Lewis may have been expecting the visit to the head coaches house, he was caught off guard the following day. Lewis and the rest of the recruits received a standing ovation as they entered Humphrey Coliseum for the men's basketball game against Georgia.
