Turner Ready for the Spotlight

Not since the days of Gerald McCoy has an Oklahoma City school produced a prospect who gathered the early list of offers to match Millwood's Josh Turner. The early favorite for Oklahoma's No. 1 prospect, Turner began his step into the spotlight as a national recruiting target by checking out Oklahoma's junior day.

While it wasn't his first trip to Norman it was his first chance to really speak with head coach Bob Stoops. The head Sooner had one particular question for the 6-foot, 185-pound standout.

"He was asking what position I want to play and I said corner. He was saying that's a big thing to him because he works with the defensive backs," Turner recalls. "He said with Dominique leaving that can be you on the other side."
