Bulldogs add Rivals250 athlete
Mississippi State picked up another Dandy Dozen commitment on Tuesday when four-star Matthew Wells gave his pledge to the Bulldogs.
The six-foot, 190-pound athlete from Lawrence County is the fourth member of the Dandy Dozen to commit to the Bulldogs and their 14th instate commitment of the 2010 class.
Wells called MSU head coach Dan Mullen with the news Tuesday morning and his relationship with him is one of the main reasons he decided to be a Bulldog.
"I like Coach Mullen," Wells said. "I think he's a real person as far as telling me stuff because a lot of people will tell you stuff that's not true. I think that what he tells me is true. I talked to a couple of other people who have committed there and they told me that he is a man of his word."
Wells picked the State over other offers from Arkansas State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Tennessee and Stanford.
