Molesi enjoys visit from Oregon State

January is off to a busy start for the Oregon State coaching staff as they have hit the road making in-home visits on committed athletes and prospects. Thursday evening Coach Riley took in sunny Southern California while visiting defensive tackle Thomas Molesi and his family.

After helping to lead the Oceanside (Calif.) Pirates to their sixth straight section title and second State Championship in three years, Molesi was named as the San Diego Defensive Player of the Year.

The Pirate defense only allowed 116 points in 14 games this season and they extended their unbeaten streak to 39 straight (a California record). Oceanside head coach John Carroll stated last month that Molesi had become a 'dominant player' and that he'd get even better at the next level.

So with all of the attention being bestowed upon him, we caught up with him to briefly talk about recruiting and how his in-home visit with Oregon State went.
