Canfield leaves his mark at Oregon State

When we caught up with quarterback Sean Canfield in late August, prior to the start of the 2009 season things were going well. He was leading the team through workouts and was ready to have fun during his last season in Corvallis.

Beaver fans had fun watching number 5 grow up before their eyes.

He graduated from Carlsbad (Calif) High early in order to enroll at Oregon State in time for spring camp. After redshirting during the 2005 season, he played as a reserve in 2006 before taking the reigns in 2007.

It was a rocky start. There was the 'battle' between he and Lyle Moevao for the top spot and he was always looking over his shoulder.
