Another player arrested

Georgia starting cornerback Branden Smith was arrested by Alabama authorities and charged with a misdemeanor possession of marijuana Sunday night, RickeyStokesNews.com has reported.

According to the report, Smith and passenger Danze Wood were stopped for a traffic offense. That's when a sheriff's deputy detected the odor of marijuana, which he found under the driver's seat.

The two were booked into the Henry County jail. A spokesperson for the Abbeville Police Department told UGASports.com that the pair was released on bond, but did not have further details.

Smith and Woods were traveling on Highway 431 in Alabama where they were stopped at 11:41 p.m.

More information to come.
