High school football is heating up as team's position themselves at runs towards the postseason. Among the highlights, Chattanooga Baylor's Kevin Cooper had a huge night in helping his team to victory and Daryl Vereen once again cracked the 100-yard mark in leading his team to a much-needed win.

Here's a recap of how the commitments did last week.

BJ Coleman (6-foot-4, 180 pounds) Quarterback
Chattanooga/McCallie

Coleman had a chance to put it on cruise control last week as McCallie eased by Tyner 37-6. The Tennessee commitment helped his squad to a 37-0 halftime lead before leaving the second half to the reserves.

Coleman started the scoring with a 10-yard first quarter touchdown run and was an efficient six of eight for 156 yards through the air.

This Friday McCallie has a big match-up with Montgomery Bell Academy.

Kevin Cooper - (6-foot-1, 240 pounds, 4.7 40-yard dash) Fullback
Chattanooga/Baylor

Cooper had a huge night last week, and his team needed it in a narrow 24-20 victory over Father Ryan Academy. The future Tennessee fullback was a one-man wrecking crew as Baylor moved to 6-2, rumbling for 240 yards on the ground and scoring on touchdown runs of 73 and 62 yards.

Todd Campbell (6-foot-0, 183 pounds, 4.5 40-yard dash) Wide receiver
Franklin, Tenn./Franklin

Campbell had four catches for 73 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown reception in Franklin's 35-0 win over Columbia last Friday night.

Anthony Anderson - (6-foot-0, 175 pounds, 4.45 40-yard dash) Athlete -
Knoxville/Austin East

Austin East was open last week.

Daryl Vereen (5-foot-11, 183 pounds, 4.5 40-yard dash) Running back
Charlotte/North Mecklenburg

Vereen didn't have the kind of huge night he's turned in on a couple of occasions this fall, but he ran 23 times for 146 yards and scored North Mecklenburg's only two touchdowns on runs of two and 37 yards in a 14-3 win over Central Cabarrus.

Josh Hawkins 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, running back/athlete
Loudon/Loudon Co.

Hawkins and Loudon Co. had an easy time of it last week with a 60-0 victory over Oliver Springs. Hawkins rushed 10 times for 101 yards and two scores in the win (33 and eight yards).

Art Evans (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) Cornerback
Lakeland, Fla./Victory Christian

Evans' team was off last week.

C.J. Fleming (5-foot-10, 165 pounds, 4.4 40-yard dash) Defensive back
Highland Springs, Va./Highland Springs

Fleming's defense pitched a 34-0 shutout last Friday night.

Dennis Rogan (5-foot-10, 180 pounds, 4.5 40-yard dash) Athlete
Knoxville/Fulton

Rogan and Fulton lost a spirited contest to Knox Catholic last week 27-14 last Friday night. Rogan finished the night with a workmanlike 150 yards on 30 carries, scoring on a 45-yard touchdown run.

Tyler Maples (6-foot-3 , 4.45 40-yard dash) Wide receiver
Maryville/Maryville

Maryville was off last week.

Darris Sawtelle (6-foot-6, 295 pounds, 4.99 40-yard dash) Offensive Line
Birmingham, Mich./Brother Rice

Sawtelle's team had an open date last week and will play for Detroit's Catholic League title this Saturday at Ford Field.

Alonzo Winfield (6-foot-0, 200 pounds, 4.54 40-yard dash) Safety/linebacker
Winston-Salem/Carver

Winfield's Carver squad moved to 7-1 with a 32-19 win over Glenn last week.
