Two more coaches leave
Keep in touch with UGASports.com
Georgia's defensive coaching staff will have a complete overhaul after all.
Wednesday night, UGASports.com was able to confirm earlier reports by Coachingsearch.com and the Macon Telegraph that both inside linebackers coach Kirk Olivadotti and defensive line coach Chris Wilson are apparently headed for new jobs.
Neither coach could immediately be reached for comment but according to a source with knowledge of both situation, Olivadotti is headed back to the NFL, while Wilson is going to be the defensive line coach at Southern Cal.
Earlier in the day, Georgia head coach Mark Richt said the two would be welcomed to stay if they so desired.
That was apparently not the case.
Returning linebacker Amarlo Herrera later confirmed Olivadotti's move on Twitter.
Cornerback Sheldon Dawson later chimed in on Olivadotti.
With Olivadotti and Wilson now gone, that means that when Georgia hits the recruiting trail in the morning now that the dead period is over, the only defensive coach on the road will be new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.
Olivadotti returns to the team where he spent 11 years after spending the last three season with the Bulldogs.
Wilson just wrapped up his lone season with the Bulldogs after taking over for Rodney Garner earlier this year.
