April 9, 2012Andrew Isaacs remains committed to Boston College but he classifies that commitment as soft. That's not what a lot of Boston College fans want to hear, but it's the truth, according to Isaacs.
The four-star prospect continues to visit Boston College whenever the opportunity arises and he was in Chestnut Hill for the spring game last weekend along with a host of other recruits.
He didn't see anything he hadn't seen before so in one sense the trip wasn't groundbreaking. However, any time you've got a recruit that is "wavering", so to speak, you want him to continue to visit.
"It was good," Isaaacs said. "I was talking to the coaches and stuff, hanging out with a couple of the players."
What is his status with the Eagles today?
"I'm still obviously committed there but I'm trying to keep my options open," he said, reiterating past comments. "There are certain schools that I would say no to immediately but as of right now I'm just waiting to see what happens."
Isaacs said he might attend Maryland's spring game but he's not sure about that yet.
Is he waiting for any offers in particular?
"I'm not so much waiting and hoping for anything. It's just that certain offers I would have to consider.
"The (BC) coaches understand this is a business. They said they want me there and they know that right now I want to be there. I told them (there) could be a whole bunch of opportunities at other schools but as of right now I really like BC, so they understand that," he explained.
Isaacs told EagleAction.com that he plans on taking "three or four" of his five allotted official visits.
What did he think of the Eagles' offense at the spring game?
"It was good," he noted. "The tempo is fast. You get a lot of plays in and a lot of passes to the tight end. There weren't a lot of downfield passes, maybe just one or two. But they would throw to the tight end a lot."
