The Colorado State coaching staff secured its 24th known commitment on Sunday night when Nordly Capi committed to play for the Colorado State Rams. Capi told goldandgreennews.com the news of his commitment through a text message Monday morning.
"I did commit last night," Capi texted.
Capi was expected to have an in-home visit by Colorado State Head Football Coach Steve Fairchild and Offensive Coordinator Pat Meyer on Tuesday night.
The 6-foot-2, 242-pound Capi brings with him impressive credentials - a 4.72 time in the 40-yard dash, a bench press of 360 pounds and his school's all-time sack record at 14.5. For his efforts, he was named All-Orange County last season. In addition to his recent offer from Colorado State, Capi also has an offer from Jacksonville State.
This weekend he was in Champaign-Urbana to listen to the overtures of the Illinois Fighting Illini. While he didn't walk away with an offer, he was told by Tuesday he would know whether or not he would have a free ride to Illinois waiting for him.
Goldandgreennews.com will have more on the Capi commitment later today.
