Klinke and Katy defeat another national power
Katy started out the year as the No.6-ranked team in the nation in the RivalsHigh100. However, a loss to The Woodlands for the second year in a row knocked them from the top of the state rankings. The Tigers' schedule did not get any easier this week as they took on national power Bellevue from Washington state. Bellevue came in riding a 15-game winning streak and has won state championships six out of the last eight years.
However, the Tigers were ready for the team from the Pacific Northwest. On Saturday night, Katy came out on top with a 35-17 victory. Offensive tackle Shep Klinke, a Texas A&M commit, said it felt good to walk out with the win.
