Drafted Duck: Nick Reed
The University of Oregon had an outstanding representation in the NFL draft with six Ducks chosen during the seven-round affair. Fan favorite defensive end Nick Reed was one of two Ducks selected by the Seattle Seahawks. Duck Sports Authority caught up with Reed after the draft to get his thoughts.
"Seattle was number one on my list," said Reed. "I took a trip up there a couple of weeks ago. The facilities are amazing all the coaches are on the right track. They've got a new staff up there and it's a good group of guys. I'm really excited to be part of it."
The Seattle Seahawks had a mini-camp May 1 though May 3, the first opportunity for Reed to work out with his new teammates.
"Mini-camp started Friday and I'll be back in Eugene Sunday. I won't be going to OTA's (organized team activities) after that because school doesn't get out in time due to the semester system. After that I go back up there on June 12th and do rookie camp and I think some OTA's then. I'm not really sure but I'm sure I'll find out."
