Meline has three on top
It's Georgia, Oregon or Tennessee for the nation's 83rd rated player. He's got the ability to play either wide receiver or safety at the next level. He recently visited Athens and came away impressed enough to put them on top right now, but says he still he hasn't made a decision.
"Chip Kelly is recruiting me at Oregon. I've already seen Georgia. I'm looking at the academics, the facilities and the coaches. At Oregon, the facilities are great, everyone says that, the coaches are great and the rest I still have to check out."
At 6' 2", 175lbs. Ted Meline has the speed to play all over the field and knows he needs to keep working hard to reach his goals. "We work out every day. Every day. 7 on 7's along with lifting weights and some other training," said Meline. "I think my biggest strength is my ability to go up over corners as a receiver and on defense being able to read the receivers routes because I'm a receiver myself. What I want to work on before next year is just getting stronger every day."
"Offensively I'd say I'm trying to pattern my game after Ted Ginn when it comes to route running and the speed game, and Plaxico Burress when it come to the ability to challenge for the ball, said Meline. "On the defensive side I'd say I try to play like Ed Reed as much as I can. He's tough and he reads the routes and the quarterback really well." As for he's going to study, "I don't know yet. I have some ideas about it but I haven't figured that out yet."
