Interest picking up for Dickinson QB
Texas A&M is looking to take two quarterbacks in the class of 2010. With one already committed in Killeen Shoemaker's Jameill Showers, the Aggies are looking for a second. Their only other offer at the position, Case McCoy, recently committed to Texas.
With evaluations of other signal-callers currently underway, one of the names that appears to have shown up on the Aggie radar is Dickinson junior Clay Honeycutt. He says things have not really started to get exciting just quite yet, though.
"I've been receiving letters and stuff from a bunch of schools but, other than that, things haven't picked up too much," said the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Honeycutt. "I haven't gotten any calls yet or anything, but I don't think they're allowed to yet.
"I went to junior days at A&M and Houston. I really liked both of them. North Texas invited me to one up there that I'm probably going to go to."
While at the A&M junior day, Honeycutt had a chance to speak with offensive coordinator Nolan Cromwell and area recruiter Van Malone.
