Phoenix (Ariz.) Desert Vista five-star defensive end Devon Kennard may have experienced the most important 48 hours of his recruitment yet.

While official visits will play a factor in his college decision, flying back from the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Sunday, Kennard would welcome Pete Carroll to his home Monday.

Between leaving San Antonio (Texas) and hosting Pete Carroll in-home, Kennard was hit with the news that Trojan recruiter, defensive line coach and coordinator, Nick Holt, was leaving USC for Washington.
