Bastrop, La., defensive lineman DeQuinta Jones made a commitment to Michigan last summer, but still has not taken his official visit to Ann Arbor. The 6-3, 305-pound Jones has set up his official visit to Michigan and was recently visited by Michigan assistant coach Jay Hopson.

Jones said his relationship with Hopson is a very important part of his commitment to Michigan. The Louisiana native is a soft verbal commitment to Michigan because he has plans to take official visits to other schools.
