Loften Could be Dallas' Next Premier Safety
Over the past few years some of the nation's best safety prospects have emerged from the Dallas metroplex. In 2007 it was Christian Scott followed by Joseph Ibiloye and Kevin Brent in 2008 and 2009, respectively. In the class of 2010 one name who some see as the heir to the throne is Irving Nimitz star Eddrick Loften.
The big-hitting defensive back has already started receiving heavy interest from the likes of Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Notre Dame, Kansas, and Texas A&M among many others. He had a chance to see three of the interested parties in action over the past few weeks.
"I went down to the Texas and A&M game, it was pretty good. It was a good game for part of it," Loften said. "I also was at the Oklahoma-Texas Tech game. It was just a blowout, it didn't seem like Tech came to play."
