Four-star commit makes first Aggie game
This past weekend, La Place (LA) East St. John offensive lineman Patrick Lewis decided to make the drive to College Station for Texas A&M's final home game of the year when they faced Oklahoma. The Aggie commit had never before been to a game at Kyle Field.
Lewis may not have picked the best game for an exciting atmosphere as the Aggies suffered a 66-28 loss to the No. 5-ranked Sooner. However, the 6-foot-2, 293-pound prospect says he enjoyed the trip nonetheless.
"That was my first time experiencing a game there," said the four-star lineman. "Unfortunately I wasn't expecting that outcome, but other than that I enjoyed myself. Everything was positive and everybody showed me love.
"You know what really, really stood out was that the fans were just so awesome. Even when we were down a bunch, nobody was down on the team about it. Everybody was still cheering the Aggies on and it was just a wonderful experience."
Before the game, Lewis had a chance to talk to a few current A&M players, including a couple of old friends.
