Good news, bad news WVU QB's
The good news for Mountaineer Nation and--let's face it--college football fans everywhere but Auburn--is that quarterback Pat White is "fine" and "practiced well" Sunday, according to head coach Bill Stewart, in this week's lead-up to the Auburn game at sold-out Milan Puskar Stadium Thursday night on national TV.
The Mountaineers are 4-2 overall and, although they dropped out of the polls for the first time in 46 weeks on Sept. 28, they are particularly nasty under a week night Morgantown moon. Two of the program's greatest victories have come after 5 p.m.: a 46-44 triple overtime thriller over Louisville in 2005 and a 28-7 upset of 3rd-ranked Virginia Tech in 2003. The Tigers, however, are one of NCAA's most road-worthy adversaries. They are 14-4 (6th) against their hosts since 2004.
