Jamal Atofau was originally planning to make his college decision by the end of September. But that did not happen.

The 5-foot-10, 184-pound safety prospect from Bellevue (Wash.) High has been too wrapped up in his senior season.

"Our first three games were big and I have just focused on helping us win and getting better as a player and school," he explained. "We're 6-0 right now so things have gone really well for us. We want to win another state championship. That is what we are focused on.

"Although I have kind of put recruiting on the backburner, I am also aware of it because I know I have to make a decision. A decision will probably be coming pretty soon."
