Promising move to offense for Greene
A.J. Greene saw an opportunity and jumped on it.
Auburn's redshirt freshman was struggling to make a splash at the defensive end position so three weeks ago Greene made the move to the offensive line. So far, the results have been very positive.
"He's a very talented athlete that will certainly have a chance to be a good offensive lineman," AU offensive line coach Hugh Nall said. "There's a definite lack of experience but I really like the progress he's made in a short period of time. I'm trying to spend time with him week by week to get him more familiar with the fundamentals of the offensive line play and the offense also."
At 6-foot-5 and now up to 280 pounds, Greene has always had the look of an offensive lineman. He's getting a feel for it now.
