A&M receiver commit has big opening game
Navasota High School is one of the top-ranked Class 3A programs in the state of Texas, and for good reason. The Rattlers posses two big-time skill position players in running back Dexter Pratt and wide receiver Brandal Jackson. This has caused expectations in the central Texas town to be as high as ever for their team.
However, they were tested in their opening week match-up. Navasota made the trek to East Texas to take on Class 4A Henderson. The Rattlers ended up with a 35-34 win, but they did not go about it in their normal way. The Henderson defense focused on Pratt, an LSU commit who rushed for over 2,000 yards as a junior, leaving the burden on the shoulders of Jackson. It was a role he gladly accepted.
"Yes sir, it was a pretty big game," said Jackson. "I ended up with something like seven or eight catches and three touchdowns."
