Perry (Ga.) four-star guard Johnnie Farms didn't get a call from Auburn Monday, the first day college coaches could contact recruits.

It's not the Tigers' fault, though. He just beat them to it.

Farms, rated the No. 8 guard in the country by Rivals.com, called and spoke with Auburn offensive line coach/recruiter Hugh Nall. The two spoke about an upcoming visit to the Plains.

"We talked for about eight minutes," said the 6-foot-3, 285-pound Farms. "We talked about me coming over on the 20th."
