Mahoney's summer is all about plans for the future
While many players from the class of 2009 are enjoying their last summer prior to heading off to the colleges of their choice to prepare for their college careers next summer Brandon Mahoney has had something of a slow summer. The 6-foot-2, 210-poound linebacker plays his football at Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge but has spent his second straight summer in Alabama with his father.
Apparently the Sooner coaches have no reason to worry about the three-star 'backer getting into any trouble while away from home.
"All I do is wake up, lift, and then I've got an ACT class that I'm taking," Mahoney explained. "I don't really get into any trouble anyway but there isn't much chance of anything happening here. I had a week in Texas before I came out here for the summer."
Mahoney had already taken the ACT prior to signing up for the class and feels he will have no problem with qualification.
