Smooth 2010 receiver has UGA's attention
For receivers to stand out, they either need to have great size, great speed, or just make great plays. Well, Tailer Jones does not have Randy Moss like size, but he is extremely quick, he catches everything within reach, and he runs routes like a college veteran. This Peach State athlete has been in Athens twice in June and he was impressive each time.
"I was over at Georgia on Thursday (June 12) first for their 7-on-7 tournament and then they invited me back for their camp on Saturday (June 14)," said Jones.
"I had a little MCL injury late in the morning session, so I had to miss the afternoon part. I think I did pretty good before they asked me to sit out the rest of the camp."
"I ran crisp routes, I got off press coverage well, and I think I showed a lot of quickness."
His skills definitely got Georgia's attention on Saturday.
"I talked to Coach [John] Eason and Coach [Bryan] McClendon during the camp and they both told me that they liked me. Coach Eason said he is really looking at me now and that he will be following me around this season."
