Flood of attention for Bush
Tight end Malcolm Bush has long been viewed as one of the top prospects at his position in the region but his stock may soon be about to skyrocket.
That's because several big-time football programs are showing serious interest in the Hackensack, N.J. prospect, and a few have seriously discussed the possibility of offering.
The 6-foot-3, 211-pound tight end caught 17 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns last season and also proved himself on defense, where he recorded 55 tackles and three sacks in only three games on that side of the ball.
He already holds offers from UConn, Pitt and Syracuse, and that list will certainly grow.
"Rutgers is supposed to be coming to the school to bring the paperwork (for an offer) this week," Bush said. "Iowa and the University of North Carolina have recently been to the school and they're both talking about offering.
"Tennessee came by the school too, and they're talking about offering. I think I'm going to their one-day camp on June 13."
If all those offers come in you should see Bush's profile grow enormously. He also has a heavy camp schedule planned, in addition to the one he will be attending at Tennessee.
"I'll be down in Gainesville on June 8 and I'll be at the Rutgers camp sometime at the end of June.
"Pretty much every school that has offered are the ones that are leading right now."
Despite proving himself as a defensive gem last season at Hackensack, Bush said schools are recruiting him exclusively as a tight end.
