Chad Simmons
UGASports.com It is that time again, and we are back on the road Monday through Friday to watch some of the top prospects in the country go through spring practice. We will run the Spring Spotlight feature into the month of June, and you will see exclusive video, photo galleries, player analysis, and quotes from the prospect's coach. The prospect in the spotlight this time is Deion Roberson.
Prospect: Deion Roberson
High School: Tucker - Tucker, Georgia
Class: 2009
Position: Defensive Tackle
Vitals: 6-3, 285-pounds
Offers: Maryland, East Carolina, N.C. State, and West Virginia
Favorites: Open
Colleges in Attendance: Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.
Practice Observations: Roberson looks the part and he had a lot of eyes on him during this practice. He is strong, athletic, and can be dominant when he wants to. His technique is solid, he moves well laterally, but he does not always show the energy and desire some make look for. Roberson is a quiet young man, but some may want to see that fire. When he wants to take over he can, so the potential is there and he can be as good as he wants to be. If he puts it all together, then watch out, he could be one of the best on the next level.
