Peach State LB has great visit to Auburn
Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson linebacker Nigel Mitchell-Thornton has attended several Auburn summer camps over the last couple of years, but a trip to the Plains last Saturday turned out to be a special one for the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder.
"It was great this time around," said Mitchell-Thornton. "I've actually been to Auburn a lot of times and this time was just more momentous than the last time because I really got to talk with a lot of the coaches.
"I got to see their defense and how their players play. It was a great experience including when we were sitting in the stands. I heard a lot of the fans and it seems like everybody is really committed to the team and aren't on there just for the bandwagon."
Mitchell-Thornton spent time with AU linebackers coach James Willis during his visit.
