Franklin says the sky is the limit
It seems to a burgeoning trend that Oklahoma is simply going to accept offers from players that no one outside of their Norman coaching offices has ever heard of. After Ronnell Lewis the night before National Signing Day it seemed the Sooners would have trouble following their first act, however as Mansfield (Texas) Legacy head coach Chris Melson informed SoonerScoop.com earlier they found another hidden gem in defensive end Terry Franklin.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound defensive end pledged his future to the Sooners earlier today and talked about his decision. Apparently a current Sooner, and former Mansfield resident, helped him with his decision.
"Well, I kind of like the atmosphere and the coaches are great. There are some players from Mansfield, they were talking about how competitive it is, I thought that sounded like something I want to be a part of," Franklin said. "I know Adrian Taylor pretty well, and he likes it up there."
