New look pays off for Roberson

IrishIllustrated.com As a sophomore, defensive tackle Deon Roberson terrorized quarterbacks. Then last fall the 6-foot-3, 270-pound athlete from Tucker, Ga., picked up new responsibilities when his prep team switched from a 5-2 to a 3-3-5 defense. Roberson's numbers went down, but the teammate of Irish commitment Jamoris Slaughter still made an impact. That's being felt on the recruiting trail.
