Alexander gets defensive: Roster grows by one

WVSports.com MORGANTOWN--For the second game in a row Sunday, Joe Alexander gave West Virginia a second half surge in the important home victory over [tm]Syracuse[/tm] 81-61 before 13,560 at The Coliseum.
The junior forward finished with 13 points and 6 assists. Eleven of those digits came in the second half as WVU improved to 12-4 overall, 2-2 in the Big East.
But Alexander's excellence translated to the defensive end for the Mountaineers. On that side, the 6-foot-8, 230 pounder took on 6-11, 226-pound freshman Donte Greene.
