Four schools have offered Farms

Many schools have been showing 2009 offensive lineman Johnnie Farms attention, but he wasn't expecting offers to come this fast. Not only did the offers surprise him, but who they came from surprised him more. Farms now has four offers and more could be on the way.

"North Carolina and North Carolina State offered me first and I was not expecting an offer from either school," said Farms. "I had not been getting letters or anything from them, but they just sent me an offer."

"Florida and Maryland offered me last week and they had been showing some interest in me. I had been to Florida a couple of times, so they knew about me."

"My coach sent film out to about 15 schools and I guess those schools got my film, liked it and decided to offer me."

More offers will be in the mail to this 6-foot-3, 395-pound powerful offensive lineman out of Perry (Ga.). He is getting loads of mail every day and some schools have already made stops at Perry High School to check on him.

"Alabama, Auburn and Clemson are schools I know that came by to ask my coach about me, but I think some others have been by too."
