Redlands (Calif.) East Valley four-star receiver Chris Polk verbally committed to USC in February, but since August, rumors have swirled regarding the solidity of his pledge.

Over the course of the football season, Polk took visits to Washington, Cal and Oregon.

Accompanying Polk on each visit was his mother, Edrena.
