Horns talking to top tackle prospect
Odessa Permian offensive tackle Garrett Porter is yet another talented prospect in an incredibly deep offensive line class for 2009, and the Odessa Permian product has begun looking at a few schools in the way of unofficial visits.
Most recently, Porter was in Austin to take in the Texas Longhorns' game against Texas Tech, and the blue-chip lineman liked what he saw on the trip.
The 6-foot-6, 308-pound Porter has already picked up offers from Texas Tech and Virginia, and he remains wide open at this early stage. Porter mentioned that he's interested in several SEC schools, and he's also looking at in-state schools like Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and TCU.
