Another tough test
BOULDER, Colo. - Of the nine teams that Colorado has played so far this season, three are currently ranked in the top eight and three others have spent time ranked in the Top 25 this season.
The Buffaloes are getting set to play yet another ranked opponent this Saturday, as ninth-ranked Missouri will be in Boulder this weekend.
Led by junior quarterback Chase Daniel, the Tigers feature one of the nation's most productive offenses.
Missouri ranks second in the Big 12 in total offense and they are one of four teams in the conference averaging more than 40 points a game.
"They are doing a great job with what they do," Colorado head coach Dan Hawkins said of the Tigers' offense. "They have full command of that thing. The way they do it, no huddle, the tempo of it, Chase knowing where to go with the ball, having guys that can catch it, guys that can run with it. They are very talented. And you can tell they are very well versed at running it."
Like Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing, whom the Buffaloes faced two weeks ago, Chase Daniel is a dual-threat behind center. He has accounted for 2,742 yards of total offense this season, an average of 342.8 yards per contest.
