Callahan talks recruiting concerns on Tuesday
When head coach Bill Callahan was asked to talk about his 2008 recruiting class on Tuesday, you could feel the frustration about where things are at today.
With three straight losses to Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M by more than 20 points and a change in the athletic director, with the announcement of former coach Tom Osborne taking the position after Steve Pederson's dismissal, uncertainty in the future of the football program has started to affect recruiting.
In the last few days, several NU commits have stated that they are evaluating their options with the questions in terms of the coaching staff's future. Four-star running back Jonas Gray said on Monday night that he officially de-committed from Nebraska's 2008 class and others such as Rivals100 members Bryce Givens and Blaine Gabbert have said that they're also looking at some other schools during this period of time.
Callahan talked at Tuesday's weekly press conference about the work the staff put in and his approach with several recruits wavering.
