Long after nearly every starter had given interviews and jogged to the locker room, Mark Sanchez ripped off his helmet and let out a primal scream on Howard Jones Field Wednesday night. You would've thought that he had just learned he wasn't going to get the start at Notre Dame.

Quite the contrary; after staying late to work on his timing with a number of his receivers, Sanchez sailed his final 50 yard bomb just a foot beyond the streaking Ronald Johnson - yelling because he knows he has to be perfect on Saturday.

"Oh yeah, trying to get a better connection," Johnson said about his extra work with Sanchez. "But we've got to complete those."
