Barner ready for Eugene
Sean Stevens
Duck Sports Authority The coming weekend the Oregon Ducks continue Pac Ten play against the Cal Bears. It's a big game for the Duck program, but it is also a big recruiting weekend. Among the official visitors to Eugene will be 5-foot-10, 170-pound athlete Kenjon Barner of Riverside (Calif.) Notre Dame. Duck Sports Authority talked with Barner recently about his expectations for the visit.
The two-star prospect told us what he's looking to find out on his trip north.
"Mainly I want to get a feel for the environment and the players, as well as the coaches," he said. "I'm just looking to see if I can see myself being there for the next four years."
This will be Barner's first official visit.
"I'm really excited and I know it's going to be fun," he said. "It's going to be a blast. It's my first time doing anything like this, so I'm really excited for it."
