Pinkard speaks on another lost season
Josh Pinkard is prepared for the days when nine months of rehab may not seem worth it.
"That's when you have to think positive, talk to the right people, refocus," the junior defensive back said. "You can't give up. You give up once, you give up the rest of your life."
Tuesday evening, USC confirmed what Pinkard had known for more than 24 hours - he has torn the ACL in his left knee and will miss another season.
Pinkard returned to practice Monday, about 10 days after bruising the knee. An MRI had shown some fluid damage, but his ligaments were intact, and his knee felt strong.
