Carpenter's leadership role now undisputed
Heading into the upcoming season, much of the success for the ASU football team is in the hands of junior quarterback Rudy Carpenter.
Thankfully for Sun Devil fans, both of those hands are healthy this season.
Following a roller coaster of a season last year, both statistically and emotionally, Carpenter is back and ready to have a breakout season.
"I just want to finally get back to playing and proving myself again," Carpenter said after the last day of practice at Camp Tontozona.
In his first full season as a starter, Carpenter only threw 250 yards more in eight more starts than he did in 2005 as a replacement for the injured Sam Keller.
