Junior defensive end Kyle Moore is putting the weight of USC's defense on his shoulders.
After switching from a traditional 4-3 defense to a hybrid 3-4 in 2006, Moore contemplated a transfer. However, instead of leaving Troy, Moore wants to lead the Trojans' defense to a national title. In doing so, the Georgia native will have to solidify a starting role at weakside defensive end.
With junior Gerald Washington and five-star freshman Everson Griffen nipping at his heels from farther down the depth chart, Moore takes pride in USC running the traditional 4-3 defensive set Pete Carroll is known for.
In fact, you could say Moore's dislike for the 3-4 has been the elephant in the locker room.
