Aggies take part in THSCA All-Star game
It was thought that the North squad held the edge going into the 2007 THSCA All-Star game. With an offensive line featuring Big 12 signees Evan Eike of Texas A&M, Tray Allen of Texas and Lonnie Edwards of Texas Tech, the North apparently had the means to dominate the line of scrimmage and keep the ball out of hands of the South's playmakers which included running back Bradley Stephens and wide receiver Brandon Collins.
Instead, it was an unsung defense featuring Defensive MVP Tank Carder of Sweeney that held the North to 138 yards and forced three turnovers in leading the South to a 14-0 shutout of the North - the first shutout in the series since 1981).
Carder, a TCU signee, made his mark on just about every aspect of the game. He had multiple tackles and registered an interception as a linebacker. He also kicked both extra points and even had a tackle while also handling kickoff duties.
