Richt talks Dawgs in Birmingham
HOOVER, Ala. -- Georgia head coach Mark Richt talked about a variety of issues Thursday at the SEC Media Days in Birmingham and one of the hottest topics was the Bulldogs' offense, which had its difficulties in 2006.
"I feel very good about our program," said Richt. "I almost feel like we're starting over in a lot of ways. I feel like we built this program on a very solid foundation. I think we've got great coaches that are very competent and believe in what we're doing, then doing it the way we expect things done."
The Dawgs' finished seventh in the league last year in scoring offense averaging just over 25 points per game. They finished in the same place in rushing offense (127 yards per game), and ninth in passing offense (184 yards per game), but the later was due largely to instability at the quarterback position for the first half of the year.
