In the next few days, 5-foot-11, 195-pound Mooresville (Ind.) kicker Trent Mossbrucker expected to head out to California to take part in the annual Chris Sailor Camp. Those plans recently hit a snag.

The sudden cancellation might come as a blessing in disguise for Mossbrucker. He expects to make a commitment soon, and the extra time might come in handy.

No leader has emerged, but Mossbrucker likes three Big Ten programs: Illinois, Iowa and Indiana.
