Manuel ready to open the floodgates
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -- Following E.J. Manuel's announcement on Wednesday, the five-star quarterback contributed his decision in part to the family atmosphere he felt at Florida State. That extended 'family' consists of both current Seminoles and also fellow members of the 2008 recruiting class.
Throughout his recruitment, Rivals.com's top rated pro-style signal-caller received a great deal of attention and friendship from several current FSU commitments. A couple of them, Nigel Bradham and C.J. Holton, hosted him during his unofficial visit to Tallahassee this past weekend. Another group of Seminole commitments, the five who spent the weekend in central Florida together, participated in a conference call with Manuel.
After seeing how badly they wanted him to join their tight-knit family, the Virginia Beach (VA) Bayside High School standout admitted their efforts influenced his final decision a great deal.
