Destrehan High's Jerico Nelson (5-10, 186) is listed as an athlete, but the speedy threat made a name for himself as a running back for the Wildcats last season. As a junior he rushed for 1,069 yards and 14 touchdowns in 12 games, sporting a 6.5-yard per carry average along the way.

Nelson is being recruited by LSU Running Back Coach Larry Porter. And he's being recruited as a tailback.
