Old Dawgs, New Tricks
Georgia tried something new this spring for G-Day as head coach Mark Richt brought in several former players to work as special volunteer assistants for the spring game. Among those attending G-Day as a special assistant coach was former Bulldog offensive lineman Jon Stinchcomb.
Georgia used seven offensive linemen on Saturday who have never played in front of a crowd in Sanford Stadium before G-Day. Stinchcomb came away impressed with the youthful offensive line Georgia used Saturday.
"The offensive line is a bunch of young guys that I did not really know, but they were competing and appeared to have great athletic ability. I am sure all they need is experience and time in the weight room with Coach Van (Dave Van Halanger) to really help them. They will learn to work as a group and it will take time for them to mesh into a cohesive unit. They went out there today and had a great day, so I expect good things," said former Bulldog lineman and current New Orleans Saint Jon Stinchcomb.
