Barnes will be ready when he gets to Athens

UGASports.com One of the Georgia basketball signees in the class of 2007 saw his senior year come to a close early as he went down with a knee injury. Chris Barnes was helping Riverdale High School make a run at the State title before coming down from a dunk and tearing his meniscus a little over halfway through the season.
"My knee injury happened in a game against Mays a little over halfway through the season," Barnes said. "I was going up for a dunk and when I came down I twisted my knee and the doctors said I tore my meniscus."
"I had surgery well over a month ago and it is coming along well. I have been rehabbing hard so I can get back on the court as soon as possible."
